This hat is the result of a meaningful friendship with fellow vendors and creatives at Grassroots California, who we met at Electric Forest Festival in 2025. As stated by the crew at Grassroots California:
“The Foraged Pigment Raccoon Brown Fitted is inspired by the raw, unfiltered tones of the natural world. Its rich brown pigment nods to the clays and minerals found beneath the surface, the same foraged hues that define Foraged Pigment Art.
Foraged Pigment Art is a small practice rooted in tradition and place. Every winter, artists Hayley Dayis and Alexander Fals travel to Colombia to forage clays and soft stones straight from the ground, processing them by hand into paint using a family technique passed down through generations in the volcanic Andes of Cauca. Each pigment is left completely unmodified, preserving the depth, texture, and soul of the earth itself.”
